Back in 1999 I wanted to create a simple web site that would list events happening in the Pilsen neighborhood. I put a basic one on some free web server that no longer exists(www.xoom.com) and then it moved to a spanish free server(http://pilsenonline.iespana.es/) and is still is floating in cyberspace. I stopped updating it for several years and in 2003 I noticed Eric Medine from DriveThru Studios(excellent alternative art space closed in 2004) had a site called www.artpilsen.com. He moved down to California in 2004 and wanted me to continue updating the artpilsen.com site, but that domain name is now owned by Podmajersky Inc, the main corporate entity who owns a lot of the buildings, galleries, studios in east Pilsen. So instead I registered this domain and created this site which has been updated on a regular basis since 2004.
